Connie was born on October 5, 1953, in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Donald and Geraldine (Schieve) Strandberg. She was raised and educated in Minot and graduated from Minot High School in 1971. Connie lived in the Boston, Massachusetts area for several years, where she was employed with ADT, a security business.
