Esther was born on September 20, 1924, to Mike and Mary Zaderaka .She was raised on a farm outside of Max, ND and graduated from Max High School in 1942 as the class valedictorian. She graduated from Trinity School of Nursing in Minot, ND as a registered nurse in 1945.
