A trip to ND and Texas would do well for Biden, energy staff

This past week, North Dakota Republican Congressman Kelly Armstrong and Texas Republican Congressman August Pfluger took the step to invite President Biden to the Bakken Formation and the Permian Basin so he can see for himself the work being done in oil fields in these two states. They want him to see how this country can be energy independent again. Whether the president and his energy staff will take up the offer from the congressmen is not known yet. We welcome firefighters from across the state who are here in the Magic City attending their annual State Fire School. Between 800 and 900 firefighters are in town for the weekend event, according to Minot Fire Chief Kelli Kronschnabel. Because of COVID-19, the fire school wasn’t held last year, but it’s back this year. It’s been held in the city of Minot for about the past 10 years.
