Community members who need assistance with medical expenses are invited to stop by NDAD's Minot office for personalized application support during a special Financial Assistance Application Event on Wednesday, Sept. 16. NDAD staff will be available to answer questions, explain available programs and help individuals complete applications for financial assistance. WILLISTON — Visit the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center near Williston for Timeless Traditions: Frontier-Style Braided Rugs from 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12. Learn the techniques used by 19th-century families to transform fabric scraps into durable and decorative braided rugs, then make a rag rug coaster to take home. The free program is open to ages 8 and older. Timeless Traditions is part of the ND250 commemoration celebrating the country’s 250th anniversary.
