Deadline Approaches for NDFB photo contest

BISMARCK – The North Dakota Farm Bureau Promotion and Education Committee encourages participants to submit their top North Dakota photos in its annual photo contest. The deadline to enter photos is Sept. 1. This year’s contest will feature categories for animals, crops/landscape and lifestyle. Party in the Park set for Garrison Saturday

nnual Party in the Park will be held in Garrison on Saturday. The second annual Sakakawea Classic Car Show will be held on Main Street in the afternoon. The annual Aw Shucks! Corn Fest will be held from 2-6 p.m. in the Garrison City Park.The event includes a watermelon eating contest, corn shucking contest, corn on the cob and other food. From 5-11 p.m., Nerve Impulse and The Bromantics bands will perform. People are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
