Two injured in Watford City crash

WATFORD CITY – Two Louisiana men were injured when a 25-year-old Bakersfield, California, man failed to stop at a traffic light and struck the rear of a Toyota in Watford City on Thursday morning, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Keno Gomez, 25, was not injured. Gomez will be charged with criminal vehicular injury (driving while intoxicated).
The driver of the 2014 Toyota Tacoma, a 35-year-old man from Kenner, Louisiana, sustained serious injuries. A passenger in the Toyota, a 38-year-old man from Metairie, Louisiana, suffered minor injuries.
According to the Patrol, the Toyota had stopped at a red traffic light on eastbound Highway 23, at the intersection of Highway 85 Business, on the south side of Watford City. Gomez, who was driving a 2014 Ford F250, was traveling east on Highway 23 behind the Toyota. Gomez failed to stop and ran into the Toyota.
The crash occurred at 5:57 a.m. on Thursday.
