Miss North Dakota’s Outstanding Teen send-off set for July 11 in Williston
WILLISTON – A Send-Off Party for Miss North Dakota’s Outstanding Teen 2019 Kaylee Moss will be held Thursday, July 11, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Williston Area Recreation Center. The event is open to the public.
The event will showcase Moss’ preparation for the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Competition later this month in Orlando, Fla. Prior to being crowned Miss ND’s Outstanding Teen, Moss, who is from Williston, was Miss Williston’s Outstanding Teen.
Moss’ competition wardrobe, including interview apparel, talent costume, and evening wear will be featured. A silent auction and freewill offering will take place to raise funds to help with her travel and competition expenses. A dessert bar featuring a variety of sweet treats will be served. She will also talk about the appearances she has made since being crowned Miss ND’s Outstanding Teen in June in Williston. Special guests will include Miss North Dakota 2019 Haley Wolfe.
Moss, the daughter of TJ and Nicole Moss of Williston, is a sophomore at Williston High School. Her platform is “ConfiDANCE,” instilling confidence through dance by offering free dance lessons to those who may not otherwise be able to try dance.
On July 21, Moss will travel to Orlando to begin preliminary competition for the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Competition. She will compete, along with 51 other national finalists, for scholarship funds and the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2020. The final night of competition, Saturday, July 27, will be livestreamed. Information on the Livestream can be found at the Miss North Dakota’s Outstanding Teen Facebook page.
