Local athletes named to Class B baseball all-state teams

Even though the conclusion of the Class B baseball season has come, athletes from around the state are still receiving worthy acknowledgments for the unbelievable things they accomplished this year.

On Monday, another accomplishment surfaced when the 2023 Class B Baseball All-State Team was announced. Among those named to the first and second teams were a variety of local athletes.

Here are the members of the All-State First Team: Keegan Neva (Northern Cass), Masen Allmaras (Kindred), Cole Hebl (Hillsboro/Central Valley), Brayden Wolfgram (Thompson), Tate Mart (LaMoure/Litchville-Marion), Grady Shipman (Carrington), Connor Johnson (LaMoure/Litchville-Marion), Jack Romfo (Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich), Tony Villarreal (Grafton), Dane Hagler (North Star), Brody Schneibel (Rugby), Coltan Francis (Surrey/Our Redeemer’s), Carson Merck (Bishop Ryan), Noah Erickson (Surrey/Our Redeemer’s), Carson Yale (Des Lacs-Burlington), Paxton Ystaas (Des Lacs-Burlington), Michael Fagerland (Shiloh Christian), Trace King (Shiloh Christian).

Here are the members of the All-State Second Team: Marshall Judisch (May-Port-C-G), Derek Carpenter (Hatton/Northwood), Landon Koenig (May-Port-C-G), Reece Berberich (Thompson), Anthony Hanson (LaMoure/Litchville-Marion), Carter Tetrault (Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich), Mason Romfo (Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich), Carson Haerer (Bottineau), Drew Zwak (Bishop Ryan), Hank Bodine (Velva/Drake-Anamoose), Kellan Henry (Renville County), Rylan Olson (Des Lacs-Burlington), Tyson Wick (Hazen), Eli Thompson (Shiloh Christian).

In addition to the All-State Team announcements, Jack Romfo of Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich was named the NDHSCA POWERade Outstanding Senior Athlete and Nathan Soulis of Thompson was named the NDHSCA SUBWAY Coach of the Year.
