Minot State star running back Ali Mohamed collected one more accolade after his memorable season on the gridiron.

The sophomore from Glendale, Ariz., who led the NSIC in total rushing yards was named to the D2CCA All-Super Region 4 Football Second Team for his performance on the football field for the Beavers this fall.

Mohamed ran for 1,159 yards this season on 251 carries, averaging 105.36 yards per game, earning him First Team All-NSIC honors in November. He also scored nine rushing touchdowns during the season, which included tying a single-game NCAA Division II-era school record with four TDs in a game against Northern State on Oct. 16.

Along with rushing for more than 100 yards per game, Mohamed also caught seven passes for 124 yards and another touchdown for the Beavers this past fall.

The All-Region honor is the first for Mohamed who was named NSIC Freshman of the Year after his debut season on the gridiron for the Beavers back in 2019.
