Bison volleyball travels to South Dakota on Tuesday

The North Dakota State volleyball team (6-8, 0-2 Summit) is back on the road at South Dakota (4-6, 1-0 Summit) on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The Bison will continue their road swing at Western Illinois (1-12, 0-2 Summit) on Thursday at 6, before wrapping the week at St. Thomas (1-11, 0-2 Summit) on Saturday at 3.

The Bison will play 15 of their first 17 matches away from home. NDSU played its first 12 matches of the season on the road before opening its home schedule last weekend against Kansas City and Oral Roberts.

NDSU began Summit League play falling short to Kansas City, 3-1, at Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse. Ali Hinze paced the Bison with her seventh double-double of the season with a team-high 17 kills and 10 digs. NDSU wrapped up the weekend dropping a 3-0 decision to Oral Roberts. Syra Tanchin led the way for the Bison totaling a match-high 11 kills and registering a .476 hitting percentage.

This will be the 71st meeting between NDSU and South Dakota dating back to 1978 with the Bison leading the all-time series, 50-20. In the most recent meeting between these two programs last season, NDSU fell short on the road at South Dakota, 3-0. Ali Hinze notched a double-double with a team-best 12 kills and 11 digs.
