North Dakota to air UND football games on radio

Alec Johnson with the University of North Dakota put out a press release about airing eight UND football games live for fans and families around the state.

The airing will begin on Sept. 26, and will continue on each Saturday through Nov. 14.

The broadcasts are to originate from 1440 KKXL-AM and from select Home of Economy Network Stations. Those who have access will also be able to tune in through UND Outsider. Each game will run from noon to 3 p.m. Special comments from Coach Schweigert will be mixed in with the broadcasts.

“Certainly nothing beats the ability to bring live action broadcasts of University of North Dakota sports, but in these unique circumstances, listening to these games serve as a fun reminder that rarely has there ever been a dull moment since making the move to Division I,” said Director of Broadcast Properties Paul Ralston. “I think all the games have those nail-biting moments, and to go back and revisit those with Coach Schweigert will offer a more unique perspective than a simple re-airing in this instance.”
