The Dakota College of Bottineau Ladyjacks women’s hockey team announced Thursday the signing of Minot High School skater Kaya Shaw.

Shaw, a right-handed forward, picked up 24 points (14 goals, 10 assists) over 25 games in her senior season. She was named a WDA All-Region selection and helped the Majettes reach the state tournament semifinals for the first time since 2006.

Cracking the roster as a freshman, Shaw played significant minutes for the Majettes over the course of four seasons. She finished her high school career with an even 100 games played and collected 89 points (53 goals, 36 assists).

Shaw becomes the 23rd player to sign with the first-year DCB women’s hockey program. The Ladyjacks will compete in the ACHA Division II ranks next season.
