Tauros forward Cole O’Connell commits to Concordia College

The Minot Minotauros achieved a milestone on Thursday afternoon. Forward Cole O’Connell became the 100th NCAA hockey commit in franchise history after announcing his commitment to Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.

O’Connell, a Moorhead native, amassed 47 points in 98 career games. This season, he tallied 13 goals and 19 assists in 49 games.

Additionally, the team captain posted 32 points this year. That total was the eighth-highest on the roster.

“(O’Connell) is a player that is very versatile, playing all three forward positions,” Minotuaros head coach Marty Murray said in a press release. “He plays in every situation and can be counted on to get the job done. He has a strong skill set and a great shot.”

O’Connell plans to study finance at Concordia. This past season, the Cobbers finished 14-11-2 overall (10-5-1 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference).
