Magi tennis concludes WDA Regionals

BISMARCK — The Minot High School boys tennis team finished play at the WDA Regionals on Saturday.

Several Magicians finished the individual tournament on positive notes. Zach Diehl finished in third place in the singles bracket, defeating Legacy’s Sean Joyce 6-1, 6-3 in the third-place match up.

Ridge Jaeger and Jack Wolsky earned Minot’s best finish of the day, claiming second place on the doubles side. Jaeger and Wolsky lost 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-1 to Legacy’s Corby Svihovec and Parker Krom in the doubles championship.

The Magi tandem of Zach Renaud and Aidan Diehl finished in seventh place in the doubles bracket. Jamestown’s Ryder Pringle and Gage Orr claimed a 6-1, 7-6 (2) victory in the match.

Minot will travel to the state tournament next week. Action will begin on Oct. 10 in Grand Forks.
