The Northern Sun Intercollegiate conference named its football Players of the Week on Monday and the quarterback for Minot State, Ben Bolinske, was selected as the NSIC Offensive Player of the Week.

Bolinske had one of the best games of his career Saturday in a 38-31 victory over Concordia-St. Paul. Bolinske had 335 total yards with 141 coming on the ground and 194 through the air. He had three touchdowns rushing and one passing touchdown. The rushing yards and total touchdowns were both career highs for Bolinske.

This was the first weekly conference award Bolinske has received as a Beaver.

Lewis earns NSIC soccer Player of the Week honors

The Northern Sun Intercollegiate conference named its soccer Players of the Week on Monday and Minot State junior forward Sofia Lewis was named the Offensive Player of the Week.

Lewis scored four goals and had one assist this past weekend in the pair of wins over Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State.

Lewis has won many accolades in her time as a Beaver. However, she had a slow start to the season but now has five goals in her past three games.

Lewis is approaching several career records for Minot State. Lewis is one goal away from tying the school record and is within striking distance for points, as well as assists.
