MHS girls golf takes second at Mandan Invite

MANDAN — Bismarck Century continues to dominate girls golf in the West Region with their fourth consecutive win to start the season at the Mandan Invite Tuesday at the Prairie West Golf Course in Mandan.

Century finished with a team score of 320, Minot High finished in second with 329 and Williston finished third with 333. Century’s Hannah Herbal was the top individual with a 74.

“We took advantage of terrific conditions and a beautiful course,” Majettes head coach Scott Foltz said. “Cali Wilson shot her career best tournament score and (Savanah) Brintnell tied hers. (Jaci) Jones shot her best score of 2019 (with 81).”

Minot’s Becca Tschetter added another sub-80 score to her resume with a 79 to place third.

Up next, the Majettes will travel to Bismarck on Tuesday, Aug. 27, for an invitational at Tom O’Leary Golf Course starting at 10 a.m.
