Kittell to be inducted into the Minot Baseball Hall of Fame

Longtime local broadcaster Scott Kittell will soon join a select few, as he is set to be formally inducted into the Minot Baseball Hall of Fame next Friday.

Kittell began his television and radio career in 1975. Over the last 44 years, he has been a broadcaster for both collegiate and high school sports in Minot.

Kittell has been the voice of Minot State Beavers athletics for the past 16 years. He is also the voice for Minot High School football, basketball and baseball.

When he isn’t commentating, Kittell still spends his time as a referee for youth basketball, baseball and softball games. This dedication to Minot athletics got recognized on Feb. 27 when the Minot Baseball Hall of Fame announced his selection.

An induction ceremony is scheduled for next Friday (June 28) at approximately 8 p.m. It will take place prior to the final game of the day during the American Legion Class AA Heilman Performance Tournament at Corbett Field.
