Minot High boys golf takes second at Century-Legacy Invite

BISMARCK — Just three strokes behind Century, the Minot High School boys golf team took second at the season opening Century-Legacy Invite at Tom O’Leary Golf Course in Bismarck. Century finished first with 303 followed by Minot High with 306 and Mandan with 325 to round out the podium.

Claiming first individually was Zach Johnson of Century with a final stroke count of 70. Minot had three golfers finish in the top ten. Gavin Argent took second with 72 while Otto Langhans tied for third with Bismarck St. Mary’s Alex Wilson with 74. Jack Demke finished 10th with 77.

Also golfing for Minot High in Bismarck were Ashton Heilman (83), Peyton Bartsch (84) and Jake Theis (86).

The Magicians return to the course Friday, April 26 for the East-West Invitational at Jamestown Country Club.
