MHS tennis earns 8-1 win over Bismarck

BISMARCK — Minot High girls tennis just keeps on rolling.

The Majettes continued their winning streak with a 8-1 road victory over Bismarck Thursday.

“We put together our best team performance of the year with an 8-1 victory over a Bismarck High team who had been playing pretty good tennis,” MHS coach Scott DeLorme said. “Our goal is to get better every time we play and we played three times this week, and I do believe we played better each time.”

MHS swept Bismarck in singles play, 6-0.

“Our singles play was extremely strong today to build a big lead going into doubles,” DeLorme said. “I think we’re starting to see players feeling more comfortable in their positions and starting to settle into a routine. Early on in the season it can take some time to get a feel for match play and I think we’re getting smarter on the court and thinking our way through things.”

The Majettes are back in action in a 4 p.m. Tuesday road matchup with Williston.
