The Minotauros (22-22-4) snagged a home victory Wednesday at Maysa Arena against the Bismarck Bobcats (24-22-4). The Minotauros’ first two goals of the game came from forward Miroslav Mucha, who has committed to play Division I hockey for the Ohio State University after this season.

Mucha’s first goal came from a powerplay, Bismarck’s Zach Van Sant serving four minutes for high sticking after striking Minot’s Sam Fuss in the face at 6:46 in the first period. Mucha was assisted by Colby Enns.

The second goal for Mucha came late in the second period at 13:57, assisted by Alex Adams and Grant Loven, to put the Minotauros up 2-0.

The third period saw two goals from two more Minotauros, as well as a Bobcat goal. Bismarck’s Adam Stacho, assisted by Simon Morberg, was able to score shorthanded at 6:54. This brought the score 2-1 with Minot holding onto the lead.

At 11:15 in the third period, Minot’s David Raisanen, assisted by Michael Talbot and Enns, scored his first goal of the night, putting the Minotauros up 3-1.

Austin Koss, assisted by Austin Dollimer and Cole Rykr, scored Minot’s final goal of the night at 18:18, solidifying Minot’s 4-1 win over the Bobcats.

Three different Bobcats were called for unsportsmanlike conduct, one being called twice and ultimately was ejected from the game. Andrew Bellant was ejected, while Michael Mahan, Mitchell Walinski and Morberg were each called for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Overall, the Minotauros outshot the Bobcats 36-26. Minot goaltender Jack Robbel racked up 25 saves on the night.

The Minotauros return to Maysa Arena Friday to face the Minnesota Wilderness at 7:35 p.m.
