Rudolph earns second NSIC North Player of the Week award

BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Minot State senior Tyler Rudolph has been selected as the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference North Division Player of the Week the league announced on Monday.

It marks the second time this season that Rudolph has captured the weekly award and the third time in his career.

Rudolph led the Beavers to a 3-0 week by averaging 23.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per game while shooting 65.2 percent from the floor.

Rudolph, who led the Beavers in scoring in all three games, had 22 points and eight rebounds in the Beavers 84-71 win over Valley City State on Monday. He then added 19 points and four rebounds in 19 minutes of action in Minot State’s 96-68 win over Yellowstone Christian. He capped the week by scoring 28 points and collecting 14 rebounds in the Beavers 91-61 victory over Mary in the NSIC opener for both schools on Saturday.

It marked his 28th career double-double and extended his string of double-figure scoring games to 23 straight.

Minot State returns to action on Friday (Dec. 1) and Saturday (Dec. 2) in the Minot State Dome. The Beavers host Northern State at 8 p.m. on Friday and then face Minnesota State Moorhead on Saturday at 6 p.m.
