MSU volleyball falters against No. 13 Winona State
The Minot State volleyball team fell in three sets to No. 13 Winona State (11-25, 19-25, 13-25) on Saturday afternoon in the Minot State Dome.
The loss drops the Beavers to 3-12 (0-7 NSIC) on the season while Warriors improve to 11-4 (5-2).
Hayley Swain paced the offensive attack for Minot State with 8 kills. Swain also posted a match-high five blocks.
Brileigh Boyce and Shelby Spuller followed Swain with six kills apiece.
Kelsey Dewulf dished out 21 assists in the match while Karli Koza notched 10 digs on the defensive side.
Minot State held a 5-1 advantage in blocks over the Warriors.
Minot State returns to action next weekend, as they host No. 17 Augustana on Friday at 5 p.m. and No. 22 Wayne State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
