I prefer The Gadsden Flag any day over the Socialist Flag and most represented tyranny.

"Only the rightwingers are racist. Right PJ?"
Not every right-winger is a racist -- but every racist is a right-winger.

Seriously...this is a thing then...
So theoretically, if someone of American Indian background were to buy a house somewhere, that would be "Indian Country" too.

"No, it's not "Indian country", it's "the reservation""
The legal definition of Indian Country is (USA) Land within an Indian reservation and all such other dependent Indian territories, and all land acquired by Indians.
Just thought you would like to know.....

I'm stronger than words too but politicians live and breathe the power of words and how to spin the intent. I could use that term to describe a beautiful people with a rich culture or I could use that term in a very demeaning way. So I guess for me it's all about agendas.

When put out in a lib press release all is well, no racism here. Only the rightwingers are racist. Right PJ?
No, it's not "Indian country", it's "the reservation".

Since Obama uses the term, I guess it is okay and the rest of us should be able to refer to reservations as Indian Country as well.

Wait a minute! Since when is this term "often used today to refer to Indian reservations"? I have NEVER until today when reading this poll heard this term used in that context!
Well said, keyz.
I agree that everyone is too sensitive but I also believe there is a lot of cruelty out there that should be addressed as well. It starts in the home so, parents, can we try to raise our kids to have some empathy instead of sense of entitlement?
"The history of the United States and tribal nations is filled with broken promises," Obama said. "But I believe that during my administration, we've turned a corner together."
Obama just wants to get close to the oil money, he gets all giddy and squirmy when he gets around billions of dollars he can possibly acquire.

I did a little research why this term is again in the headlines.. the POTUS calls anywhere Natives live Indian country. The POTUS would not like it if we called Afrika Black Country.

Perhaps we should try some "reparative therapy" AGAIN, like they're doing in Texas.....
According to U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, the Texas GOP will recognize the legitimacy and efficacy of counseling, which offers reparative therapy and treatment for those patients seeking healing and wholeness from their cultural lifestyle.....
Boy, here we go again with that 1890's thinking.....Grand Outdated Party!

Your right Sickworld. I have so many buffalo roll spots that never go away. And a lot of Indian rings still in place, where they lived. I will never let that be disturbed. Maybe when I die, it will be.
