Gary Crowdus, Minot
Another McDonalds in south Minot? Does north Minot have an ancient curse on it or is it when a company (Walmart) tries to build up here someone starts complaining that it's too close to their house and it's shut down before it even gets started so why try?
South Minot is so congested with vehicles it's a miracle one even survives the trip through the southend. Five new eating establishments in a two-block strip? Kmart, Target, Menards, Walmart, Home of Economy, and I won't even get into all the restaurants on the south side. I would really like to know why north Minot isn't attracting new businesses.
How about some answers, city aldermen, or anyone else who may have some idea.
