Minor train collision stalls car traffic

February 18, 2014
Minot Daily News

A minor collision between a Canadian Pacific Railway train and a blue sedan at a rail crossing just east of the Minot Public Library’s east parking lot at 1:19 p.m. Monday brought traffic at railroad crossings throughout the downtown area to a standstill for roughly an hour. There was no observable damage to the train and the car appeared to have only minor bumper damage, and the driver was able to drive it away from the scene. The driver of the car was cited for failure to stop at a railroad crossing with a stop sign.
