State Historic Preservation fund grants halted this year
BISMARCK - In 2013, the North Dakota State Historic Preservation Office received a 5 percent reduction of the annual appropriation. As a result, Historic Preservation Fund grants will not be offered to the public this year. The number of grants to certified local governments in North Dakota has also been reduced.
Recent North Dakota grants have been used by the public to rehabilitate historic exteriors of homes, install new roofs and repair damage of historic stained glass windows and brick work. This funding has made it possible for many historic buildings throughout North Dakota to maintain and rehabilitate the historic features that make them unique.
For further information on grant programs, contact Grants and Contracts Officer Amy Munson at 612 East Boulevard Ave., Bismarck, ND 58505-0830, 328-3573, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
