Northern Outlaw Wrestling will celebrate five years in operation with a two-night event, "WrestleFest 5," that will be held at The Vegas Motel Friday and Saturday.
"We have always prided ourselves on being family-friendly entertainment," said Northern Outlaw Wrestling co-owner Mark Holter in a media release. "Our reputation as one of the top wrestling promotions in this part of the country has gotten us a lot of attention from around the world. With the recent addition of Visit Minot as a sponsor, we are very excited to see how far we have come in the past five years."
Holter said Northern Outlaw Wrestling, which touts itself as North Dakota's only professional wrestling/sports-entertainment company, features talent from around the country as well as from within its home state. Past events have seen professional wrestlers from national TV shows as well, including former World Wrestling Entertainment stars The Honky Tonk Man and Rhyno, as well as former World Championship Wrestling star Lenny Lane. Northern Outlaw Wrestling has promoted pro wrestling events around North Dakota, but Holter said that NOW is focusing on its events in Minot for 2013, enabling the company to produce DVDs and an Internet pay-per-view webcast during the year.
"Television and professional wrestling have grown up together," said Holter. "Having a locally produced Internet PPV would be amazing for a growing company like ours. There is already a demand around the U.S. for our product, so this year we started an online TV show on our website." For information, go to (northernoutlawwrestling.com).
