Paul D. Hedberg, 68, Minot, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in a Minot hospital.
Paul Daniel Hedberg was born Aug. 15, 1944, in Minot, to Clark and Lucille (Nelson) Hedberg. Paul was raised in Callahan Township, rural Greene, and attended school in Carpio. He worked for a time in the oil field with his father.
He served in the U.S. Army, and was honorably discharged. Following his discharge he moved to Tacoma, Wash., where he worked in construction for several years. He then moved to Rawlins, Wyo., where he managed the Elks Club for many years. In the early '80s he returned to North Dakota where he worked in the oil field and eventually began his own drywall business, which he operated until his death.
Paul always had a deep love and respect for his mother, Lucille, and was very passionate about his three dogs: Roxy, Charlie and Tripper.
Those who shared in his life: brother, Dean (Linda) Hedberg, Iron River, Wis.; four nephews, Leon and Mark Paddock and Ryan and Brandon Hedberg; one niece, Shelly Sprague; several cousins; and many dear friends.
Paul was preceded in death by: his father, Clark, who died on March 11, 1969, and his mother, Lucille, who died on July 24, 2000, and his sister and brother-in-law, Carol (Wayne) Paddock.
Funeral: Wednesday, April 3, at 2:30 p.m. at the Carpio Lutheran Church, Carpio.
Visitation: Wednesday, one hour prior to the service, in the church.
Burial: Grano Cemetery, Grano, in the spring.
