So according to you all retired military, police, firefighters, farmers and every senior citizen are accepting handouts! You sound more like Mitt Romney and the republican party everytime you post!

WA - how WILL I get my gifts if you are not part of the "willing to pay more" crowd? I feel you just don't care about being fair if you are trying to minimize the taxes you should be paying.

lorexxx that is the beauty of retiring at a young age you can do anything you want and I do. My wife still likes to work so I have the whole week to do whatever I want to do. Freedom! It is great! No bosses! No timeclocks. No more dead lines! Life is good!

We've become a country where a direct statement or question is now to be interpreted as "hate" or "hateful."

We are wimps! We wouldn't have lasted through the Revolutionary War, much less the Civil War.

If we can't have honest debate, discourse, or discussion on real issues without somebody throwing the "hate" card, we'll never make it.

lorexxx you didn't answer the question as usual. Why did Pres. Bush and Sec. Tres. Paulson pick Lehman Brothers to fail? Why did Sec. Tres. Paulson go over to Russia in a secret meeting with his old Goldman Sachs buddies and discuss the economic crisis before making the decesion to dump Lehman Brothers stock?

lorexxx, Mr. critique, you're always getting on Pres. Obama's case about picking winner's and loser's during the economic crisis. I never heard you say anything about then Pres. Bush and then Sec. Tres. Paulson picking winner's and loser's in the financial district of Wall Street during the economic collapse in 2008? Why is that? Do you suppose the increase in Gov't spending due to the TARP started all this so called supply side economic policy theory to unravel and plunge us into the "worst economic disaster ever!"

lorexxx says, "According to supply-side economics, tax cuts will increase consumer spending enough to make up for the revenue loss. That's because consumers and businesses will spend enough of the tax cuts to increase demand and create jobs. This creates so much economic growth that tax revenues ultimately rise. The same effect doesn't occur with increased government spending, according to the theory." According to the Bush TAX Cuts the exact opposite occured did it not? Jobs were lost and the economic market collapsed! So much for that theory!! We tried that "trickle down theory" before with Reagan! It only benefited the few at the expense of the many!
