Little faith in Legacy Fund

Troy Johnson

Williston

Wasn’t the Legacy Fund supposed to be the rainy day fund for North Dakota?

I was told when it started, we would use this money for when the state really needs help. Well what gives? People getting and have gotten laid off due to (COVID-19) and Biden closing down oil jobs, schools closed, health care getting stupid, people looking for food and needing help paying bills and making payments, when is going to be a good time to crack it open?

Is all the money invested in China markets or North Dakota markets? I bet China markets. That money should never have been allowed to leave the state. Whose pockets are being lined with it? I demand an investigation why the legislature won’t use this money. I bet it’s becuase the Democrats aren’t there to spend it. Last I heard there was $7 billion in the fund.
