Honoring the Lord
Robert Tatum, Ellendale
What a difference God can make in two years. It is a wonderful thing to see the Lord Jesus Christ work out His plan through our own North Dakota Legislature.
For two years I have been asking the Lord to remake the Senate with enough true believers in God to support the House of Representatives to pass sound pro-life bills during this present legislative year.
Wow! I am not disappointed. I praise God for men and women of faith, courage and biblical knowledge for standing tall in support of this righteous cause. The second book of Samuel 23:3b-4 in the Bible acknowledges that “A leader who rules righteously, who rules in the fear of God, is like the morning at sunrise, like a morning without clouds, like the gleaming of the sun on new grass after rain.”
This is a great blessing to us Christians of North Dakota who know that our life is a sacred gift from the very breath of God and that this life-giving spirit from the love of God cares about the live baby in its state of helplessness against the “culture of death” and the mass killing of live babies.
I marvel in great distress that the opponents of pro-life never say anything about the party that needlessly loses life because of their helpless state at the time. The opponents of pro-life only proclaim over and over again that is it always about me, what about me, what about me. I recommend a Joyce Meyer inspirational teaching tape which explains the natural selfish sin nature of man which controls our motives when we are not plugged into a vital relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ). The Bible is also an excellent source to bring about change in our motive away from self.
I salute you legislators and Gov. Jack Dalrymple for honoring the Lord with your heart and hard work. You are the very reason why we need God-fearing people in all leadership positions who know the difference between the “culture of death” and life, as well as how to combat evil with right decisions. My duty as a “cross of Christ” Christian requires a high priority, and I love to have leaders who are bold toward the plans of God and move with the Lord wherever his plan takes us.
