This past weekend was a time of new beginnings in the Magic City.

More than 400 seniors graduated from Minot High School and to them we say congratulations and good luck as they embark on a new chapter in life.

On Sunday, the new beginning came in musical fashion. The annual concert series held in Minot parks and organized by the Minot Area Council of the Arts for more than 20 years kicked off another season. Watch for announcements about upcoming concerts. You won’t be disappointed.

Just about anyone who calls Minot home has been to one of these events, and they are very much appreciated by music buffs of all ages. The concerts and visual offerings not only show off local talent – thanks to them for sharing – but Minot’s splendid parks. To many there can be no greater venue to enjoy a summer concert than under the massive oak trees in Minot’s Oak Park where Sunday’s concert was held.

It’s going to be a great summer and it’s only just beginning.
