Rae Ann Wyum

Rae Ann Wyum, 81, Minot, ND, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, in her home.

Rae Ann Winlaw was born September 16, 1941, the daughter of Clint and Nechie (Porter) Winlaw, in Cavalier, ND. She graduated from Cavalier High School and NDSU with a Degree in Home Economics.

Rae Ann married Jules Wyum on February 17, 1966, in Emerado, ND. They made their home in Minot. They were blessed with two sons, Shane and Jeff.

Rae Ann worked for Ward County as an Extension Agent for many years. She was also the Secretary of the Investment Club, a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and member of VFW Auxiliary of Cavalier and a Leader of the 4-H Clubs in Ward County. She loved âTHE NDSU BISON.ã Do not interrupt her during her BISON games!

Rae Ann loved to travel and enjoyed traveling with Jules to Hong Kong, Japan, England, Mexico, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Alaska, Hawaii and many other places across the country. She also enjoyed curling, bowling, gardening, golfing, camping, watching football, hockey, drag racing and the news and playing cards with her family and friends.

Surviving family includes: her sister, Lynne Turnbow (Arkansas); her sons, Shane Wyum, Minot, and Jeff (Rachael) Wyum, Minot; seven grandchildren, Michael Emory, Jason Wyum, Hollie Wyum, Christopher Wyum, Krystal Wyum, Landan Wyum and Morgan Wyum; two great-granddaughters, Sophia Wyum and Willow Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Rae Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jules, in 2016 and her parents and in-laws.

Funeral: Monday, November 28, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.

Interment: Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
