Eileen Collins—-95,
Alexandria, MN, formerly
of Minot, ND, passed
away on Saturday, Sep-
tember 25, 2021 in her
home.
Eileen Stalwick was
born March 13, 1926, a
daughter of Clarence “Kel-
ly” and Myrtle (Jacobson)
Stalwick in Berthold, ND.
She moved with her fami-
ly to Minot when she was
2 years old. She was
raised and educated in
Minot, graduating from
Minot High School in
1944. Following her gra-
duation, Eileen traveled to
the West coast, where she
worked as a secretary in
Tacoma, WA and River-
side, CA.
On July 17, 1948, Eileen
was united in marriage to
John H. Collins in Minot,
ND. They made their
home in Minot, where
they raised their three
children, Larry, Cathy and
Colleen. In addition to the
duties of a wife and moth-
er, Eileen also worked at
Montgomery Wards and
Sherwin Williams. In the
1960’s, John and Eileen
built a cabin at Lake Meti-
goshe where they spent
many years of fishing,
berry picking, and just en-
joying nature.
John died July 11, 2000.
Following his death,
Eileen remained in their
home until June, 2011
when her home was
flooded and became inha-
bitable. She moved to
Alexandria, MN where
her daughter, Colleen, re-
sides. She lived in a beau-
tiful senior facility there
until her death. Eileen
was active in the senior
community and made
many dear friends. She
was an avid sports fan,
especially of the Minneso-
ta Twins and the Min-
nesota Vikings.
She was a lifelong
member of Zion Lutheran
Church, where she served
on the Ladies circle.
While living in Minot, she
also enjoyed her time as a
member of the Golden
Oaks PTA and volunteer-
ing for Special Olympics
and Host Fest.

Daughters: Colleen (Da-
vid) Sailer; Cathy (Daryl)
Piquette; Nine grandchil-
dren: Kristy (Chris) Hel-
land, Kari (Bill) Myers,
Amy Ritter, Alecia (Matt)
Orpen, Scott (Molly)
Sailer, Lori (Wade) Ander-
son, John (Jocelyn) Col-
lins, Kevin Collins; 11
great-grandchildren: 1
great-great-grandchild; si-
blings: Donna Elgie, Ar-
dell Boyeff; Several
nieces, nephews and
cousins also survive.
Eileen was preceded in
death by her parents,
brother Robert, husband
John, son Larry, grandson
Kelly, and 2 infant grand-
sons Steven and Christo-
pher

andria for the loving care
they provided.

October 2, 2021 one hour
prior to the service at
Zion Lutheran Church,
Minot
Funeral Service: Satur-
day, October 2, 2021 at 11
am at Zion Lutheran
Church, Minot. At the re-
quest of the family, those
attending the service are
encouraged to wear masks
and follow CDC guide-
lines.
