Bryan Vendsel, 78,
West Fargo, ND, formerly
of the Minot and Carpio
area, passed away Thurs-
day, June 17, 2021, at
Sanford Medical Center,
Fargo, ND.
Bryan was born No-
vember 4, 1942, the son of
Raymond and Esther
(Bryans) Vendsel, in
Minot, ND. He was raised
and educated in Carpio,
graduating from Carpio
High School in 1960.
Shortly thereafter he mar-
ried Patricia Stredwick
and they were blessed
with three children, Mike,
Jason and Lisa.
Bryan enlisted in the
United States National
Guard after high school
and was called into active
duty Army during the
Berlin Crisis and served at
Fort Riley, Kansas.
Bryan attended Minot
State College for several
years before moving to the
family farm near Carpio in
1965. In 1968, they moved
to Devils Lake, ND, where
he was manager of the De-
vils Lake Chamber of
Commerce.
In 1972, he purchased
the John Deere Implement
dealership in Cando, ND,
which he operated until
moving to Dickinson in
1986 where he was the
manager of the Small
Business Development
Center. In 1999, he moved
to Fargo, ND where he
was a real estate agent
with ReMax. During this
time he also became a
licensed auctioneer.
Bryan married Mary
Hinschberger in Minot in
2002.
Bryan was an avid
hunter, fisherman and
outdoorsman. He was a
passionate Minnesota
Twins fan, watching every
game. He also was a Min-
nesota Viking Fan and
played and watched golf.
His loving family in-
cludes: wife, Mary
Hinschberger, children,
Mike (Roxanne) Vendsel,
Jason (Kristin) Vendsel
and Lisa (Sebastian) Ha-
man, stepchildren, Sara
(Kyle) Sager and Andy
(Makell) Sahlberg.
Grandchildren, Taylor,
Cole, Lane, Derek, Dus-
tyn, Dayne and Bode,
great-grandchildren,
Madison and Ingrid, sis-
ter, Judy Vendsel, and
numerous nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Bryan was preceded in
death by his grandparents
and parents.
Funeral: Thursday,
June 24, 2021, at 10 a.m.
at Rosehill Memorial
Park, Minot.

Memorial Park, Minot, ND
Visitation: Wednesday
from 5 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
at Thompson-Larson Fun-
eral Home, Minot.
