Nola Rosencrans

Nola Rosencrans, 74,
Minot, formerly of Town-
er and Burlington, passed
away on Sunday, April
18, 2021 at a Minot hospi-
tal.
Nola was born on
February 1, 1947 in Rug-
by, North Dakota to
Joseph and Martha (Car-
penter) Rosencrans. She
was raised and educated
in Towner, graduating
from Towner High School
in 1965.
On April 2, 1965, Nola
was united in marriage to
Don Marshall. They made
their home in Rugby,
where Don worked for
Zurcher Feed Lot and
Nola at J.C. Penney’s. The
couple then moved to Up-
ham, ND, where Don
helped with the family
farmstead in Bantry, ND
and Nola for the grocery
store in Upham. They
were divorced in 2006.
Nola then moved to Bur-
lington, ND, where she
worked a number of years
at Kmart, then the ReStore
before retiring.
Nola enjoyed sewing,
spending time with her
grandchildren and playing
bingo a time or two, lol.
She was a member of First
Presbyterian Church in
Towner.
Nola is survived by: her
son, Chase (Sarah)
Marshall, Grand Rapids,
MN; daughter, Kayla (Dan
Larson) Williams, Minot;
brothers, Wayne “Derby”
(Glenda) Rosencrans,
Everett, WA, and Dave
(Julie) Rosencrans, Palm
Desert, CA; sisters, Peggy
(Don) Uglem, Lewiston,
ID, Hazel (Bill) Tunstall,
San Diego, CA, and Joann
(Bob) Vinje, Everett, WA;
grandchildren, Mariah
(Brittany) Boardman and
Kenady Marshall; and
other extended family and
friends.
She was preceded in
death by: her parents, Joe
and Martha Rosencrans;
sister, Janey Payne; and
niece Kelly Joe Vinje.
A Celebration of Life
service will be held on Sa-
turday, April 24, 2021 at
11 a.m. at the Union
Cemetery in Towner. In
lieu of flowers, the family
request that donations be
made to the Mental
Health Foundation or the
ND School of the Deaf.
