Fabian Zeltinger
Aug. 18, 1948-April 5, 2021
Fabian Zeltinger, 72, of
Minot and formerly of
Tolley, passed away in a
Minot hospital on April 5,
2021.
Fabian Michael Zelt-
inger was born on August
18, 1948 in Kenmare, ND
to Joseph and Marie
(Bauer) Zeltinger. He was
raised and educated in
Tolley, graduated from
Tolley High School in
1966 and continued his
education at Minot State
College. Fabian was draft-
ed into the U.S. Army in
1970 and served in Ger-
many prior to his honor-
able discharge on July 15,
1976.
Fabian married Lianne
Lawrence on August 18,
1972 in Minot. They made
their home in Minot
where he continued at
Minot State College earn-
ing his degree in pre-art
therapy in 1975. He was
employed at the Dakota
Boys Ranch, Vets Center,

Boys and at St.
Joseph’s/Trinity Hospital
as a social worker for 29
years. He retired in 2014.
Once retired, he owned
and managed the Minot
Flea Market until his pass-
ing.
Fabian was a loving
husband and father and a
caring and devoted broth-
er. His integrity was
beyond reproach. He was
generous and principled.
His family will remember
him most as a big dreamer
and a resourceful and
unique artist. A man of
few words, he always
thought of others and
would be a voice for them
when needed.
Fabian was a true
introvert-extrovert. Start-
ing with his youth at
Mouse River Park spend-
ing his time roller skating
and entertaining his
friends and courting
Lianne. Fabian’s eternal
optimism and work ethic
culminated with his dedi-
cation to the flea market,
the vendors, and the
crowd. He has forever left
his mark on this North
Dakota community and
everyone who knew him
well.
