Lois Ann Grove, 87,
Minot, formerly of the
Plaza and Parshall area,
died Saturday, November
28, 2020 at the Souris Val-
ley Care Center in Velva.
Lois was born April 19,
1933, in Plaza, North
Dakota the daughter of
Hans and Cora (Reese)
Myhre. She was raised on
the family farm west of
Plaza and graduated from
Plaza High School in
1950. She continued her
education at Minot State
Teachers College and re-
ceived a standard teach-
ing certificate in 1951.
Lois returned to Moun-
trail County and taught in
several one room school
houses, including Wabek,
ND. While teaching there,
she met her future hus-
band Jewell Grove. He at-
tentively would pick up
his nephew after school as
often as possible to get a
glimpse of the school
teacher. The spark was ig-
nited and they were mar-
ried on June 6, 1954.
Lois and Jewell spent
their married life raising
small grains on the family
homestead southeast of
Parshall, along with their
3 children, Jerilyn,
Kimberly and Michael.
Throughout her 66
years of marriage, Lois en-
joyed traveling, golfing
and visiting with family
and friends. Jewell passed
away on November 7,
2020.
Lois’ loving family in-
cludes: her children, Jeri-
lyn (Michael) Lange,
Kimberly (David) Liebold,
Michael (Vicki) Grove,
Parshall, ND; 5 grandchil-dren to include, Joseph
(Stephanie) Lange, Caro-
lyn Pedersen, Kristina
Liebold, Jeffrey Liebold
and Brittany Grove; 4
great-grandsons, Thayne
Stubbs, Brenden Peder-
sen, Keegan Pedersen and
Ryder Lange; sister, Doris
Manzo, Federal Way, WA;
along with several nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Lois was preceded in
death by: her parents,
husband of 66 years,
Jewell along with her
brothers Harvey and
Myron Myhre.
