Wayne Bauer

Wayne Bauer, 71, Vel-

va, died Saturday, No-

vember 14, 2020 at a

Minot Hospital.

Wayne Lee Bauer was

born February 26, 1949 to

Benjamin and Amellia

(Littke) Bauer in Mandan,

ND. He was raised on a

family farm outside of

Butte, where he attended

school.

Following school, he re-

located to Mercer and be-

gan his career as a welder

and machinist at Rust

Machine shop. Here he

met his future wife,

Loranna.

Wayne was united in

marriage on February 26,

1971 to Loranna Jacobson

in Shelby, SD. The cou-

ple moved to Bismarck,

where Wayne started a job

as a machinist at Melroe’s.

He and Loranna lived in

Minot, and other small

communities in North

Dakota before making

their home in Velva in

2003. Throughout the

years he worked as an as-

sistant manager at the

Butte Grain Elevator,

Stevens Welding, and

Plasma Flame Coatings.

He retired in 2016 at

Gravel Products after 20

plus years of service.

Wayne enjoyed the out-

doors, actively hunting

and fishing. His true love

was his family, cherishing

times with his children

and grandchildren. He

was happiest creating

memories “tootsing”

around on his side by side

or “buggy” with them.

He is survived by:

Jundt) Bauer, Velva, ND;

grandchildren; Sierra

Bauer, Bailey Bauer,

zlaff, Destiny Bauer, Bri-

anna Bauer;

great-grandchildren: Jon

McCarley, Nolan Russell,

Kaisan Getzlaff; brothers:

Jim (Gloria) Bauer, Jerry

Bauer, Delmar Bauer; sis-

ter: Doloris (Ken) Siebold;

several nieces, nephews

and cousins also survive.

Wayne was preceded in

death by: his wife, Loran-

na, his parents, Benjamin

and Amellia, Deloris

Seibold, and Delmar

Bauer.
