Ted Selfors, 85, Minot,
ND, passed away Satur-
day, October 24, 2020, at
Sanford Health in Fargo,
ND.
Ted was born July 16,
1935, the son of Nels and
Signy (Berg) Selfors, in
Minot, ND. Ted was
raised and educated in
Minot, ND attending
Minot High School.
Ted married Shirley Bo-
gar on September 23,
1953 and they lived in
Minot. Shirley passed
away on November 24,
1977.
Ted enlisted in the Un-
ited States Army on
March 11, 1959. He
proudly served his coun-
try in Germany. He was
honorably discharged on
March 10, 1965.
Ted started working the
Great Northern Railway as
an machine operator
when he was young. He
retired from the Burling-
ton Northern Santa Fe
Railroad in 1996.
Ted married Alyce Ath-
erton Hanson on De-
cember 22, 1983. They
resided in Minot for 38
years.
Alyce died on May 21,
2020 and he continued to
live in Minot.
Ted was a member of
Bethany Lutheran
Church, Minot.
Ted enjoyed riding
horses and hunting when
he was younger. His big-
gest joy in life was his
family.
Surviving family in-
cludes:
Daughter, Linda “Lynn”
Johnson of Tucson, AZ;
Three grandchildren, Jen-
nifer (Anthony) Jensen,
Brian (Amy) Johnson and
Jeffrey (Christa) Johnson;
Seven
great-grandchildren, Alex,
Arianna and Gabe Jensen,
Mya Martinez, Delaina
DeLeon, Landon and Ad-
disyn Johnson; Sister: Lor-
raine Alfstad; Brother:
Rodney Selfors; and
numerous nieces,
nephews; stepchildren,
stepgrandchildren and
stepgreat-grandchildren.
Ted was preceded in
death by: his parents;
wives, Shirley and Alyce,
five brothers and five sis-
ters.

2020, at 2:00 pm at
Bethany Lutheran Church
in Minot, ND. Due to the
