Nicholis Robert Fenner

June 29, 1996-Sept. 26, 2020

Nicholis Robert Fenner,

24, Minot, died Saturday,

September 26, 2020 in

Minot.

Nicholis Robert Fenner,

born June 29th, 1996 in

Minot, ND to Chad Fenner

and Nancy Cena.

Nicholis is survived by:

beautiful daughter

Paislee, his mom and dad,

his brother Zachery, sister

Steevie and girlfriend Kar-

ley McPeak. His

grandparents, Sheryl

Fenner of Minot, Cather-

ine Schmidt of New Jersey

and Michael and Diane

Schmidt of Florida, along

with lots of aunts, uncles,

cousins, family and

friends.

Nicholis graduated from

Minot High School in

2014. After high school,

like many people, Nick

tried to find his way in

life. After searching for a

few years to find a career

he loved, he started work-

ing at Ryan GMC here in

Minot. Nick loved his job,

and was great at selling

cars. He was passionate

about the work, and a

couple times, Karley

would have to wait for

Nick because he was mak-

ing a sale.

The greatest day in

Nick’s life was the day his

daughter, Paislee, was

born to him and his

long-time love Karley. She

was born on October 5th,

of 2017. She is the abso-

lute love of his life, and

seeing the joy on his face

every time he thought

about that little girl would

light up a room.

Nick loved his family,

was fiercely loyal, and

treated his friends in the

same regard. He held on

to friends for years, and

would never hesitate to be

there if needed. Just re-

cently he spent a day in

his dad’s back yard climb-

ing a tree to help cut it

down. He complained

about the work, but never

thought twice about it.

Nick loved working with

his hands, doing carpen-

try, and mechanical

repairs. He also loved the

outdoors, fishing, and

camping.

Much like his father,

Nick spoke in 2

languages: English and

Sarcasm. He was so ex-

tremely witty, and could

make up a joke or a come-

back for any situation,

much to the disdain of his

older brother. Nick loved

to laugh, and always tried

to find the humor in any

situation. He found joy in

simple things, and never

minded getting his hands

dirty. He always had a

smile to share with the

world that was unforgett-

able.

Nicholis was part of a

family that loves him with

passion and admired his

incredible spirit. He was a

beautiful soul that treated

everyone he met with

respect, compassion and

kindness. His spirit and

spunk was contagious and

made anyone around him

want to be a part of what-

ever he was doing. He had

a great energy, but loved

to sleep whenever he had

a break in his daily life.

When he was younger, he

and his brother Zachery

were more like twins,

only 1 year and 6 days

apart in age, they were

constantly getting them-

selves into all kinds of

mischief and trouble. Za-

chery, Nicholis, and

Michael were connected

in ways that are indescrib-able. He was passionately

protective of them and

they were of him. He

loved his little sister like a

father loves a daughter,

and she meant the world

to him. The loss of his lit-

tle brother Michael took

some of the joy from Nick

for a while, but he was

starting to love life again.

Nicholis was the rock of

our family, he was our

center and kept us all bal-

anced these last several

months and it gives us

some comfort to know

they’re together again.

Nicholis was preceded

in death by: his baby

brother Michael Fenner,

his uncles John D’Alessio,

Terry Stevick, and Tho-

mas Lipnicki, his aunt

Karn Stevick, his grandfa-

ther Robert Fenner, and

his great-grandmother

Doris Stevick.
