He was born to Peter

and Elizabeth (Jaeger)

Mattern on November 17,

1942 in Rugby, ND. On

May 18, 1963, he married

Ilene Black.

Claytus is survived by:

his wife of 56 years; sons,

Vince, Lawrence (Debbie)

and Steven (Vita) all of

Rugby and LeRoy

(Tamara) of Willow City;

siblings, Kenneth of Rug-

by and Diane Burkhart of

New Kensington, PA.

Mass of Christian Buri-

al will be held at 2:00

p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5th

at Little Flower Catholic

Church in Rugby with

burial in the church

cemetery.

Visitation will be from

5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednes-

day with a Rosary and Vi-

gil prayer service at 7:00

p.m. at the Anderson Fun-

eral Home in Rugby.

Visitation will continue

Thursday from 9:00 a.m.

to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral

home. Please be respectful
