Robert D. Lukach

Robert D. Lukach, 69,

Cleburne, Texas, formerly

of Minot, ND, died Friday,

September 18th 2020 at

home in Cleburne.

He was born March 23,

1951, to Frank and Grayce

Lukach in Minot, ND, as

the third sibling of six. He

graduated from Noonan

High School, Noonan, ND

and went on to Minot

State University where he

received a Master’s de-

gree.

Upon receiving his de-

gree, he joined the US

Navy, where he achieved

the Rank of Lieutenant

and held the following

specialties: Educational

Services Officer, Ground

School Instructor, Squa-

dron Scheduling Officer,

Flight Deck Officer, Flight

Instructor, Communica-

tion Officer and Squadron

Scheduling Officer while

aboard the USS Midway

and USS Nimitz. He also

was a jet pilot with elec-

tronic warfare.

He was once married to

Jeannine Boyette and from

this union they had two

children.

He loved being a satel-

lite engineer before re-

tired.

Robert was a member of

The Veterans of Foreign

Wars, The American Le-

gion and the Knights of

Columbus. He was also a

member of the Tau Kappa

Epsilon (TKE) fraternity.

He enjoyed spending

time with his grandchil-

dren, hunting, fishing,

camping and woodwork-

ing. His favorite holidays

were Christmas and Hal-

loween.

Surviving family in-

cludes: His son, Robert

Frank Oliver Lukach and

his daughter, Grayce

Leigh (Chief Petty Officer

Christopher) Harris. He

has two grandchildren,

Linkyn Patrick Abner

Harris and Olivia Chris-

tine Harris; brothers, Bill

Lukach, Miriam (Larry)

Lee, Betty (Ed) Hausauer,

Len (Margit) Lukach, and

numerous nieces,

nephews and cousins.

Robert was preceded in

death by: his parents and

a sister, Mary Pat Rive-

land.

Mass of Christian Buri-

al: Thursday, October 1,

2020, at 10 a.m. at St.

John the Apostle Catholic

Church, Minot.

Interment: Rosehill

Memorial Park, Minot,

ND.

Visitation: Wednesday

from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Minot.
