Butte died on May 19,

2020 at a Minot hospital.

Most recently, Merel

owned and operated Ther-

mo Tek, a business that

transported and skirted

mobile homes. Previous-

ly, his involvement in the

airline industry as well as

in car racing and boat rac-

ing had taken him

throughout the world.

Merel is survived by

his brother: Duane. He

was preceded in death by

his parents: George and

Alvina and brother:

LeRoy.
