Lori Michelle (Thomas)
King, age 53, went to be
with the Lord and Savior
June 18, 2020.
Lori was born on April
24th, 1967 to Earl Clayton
Thomas Jr. and Janice M.
(Reeser) Thomas while
stationed at Camp Le-
jeune, NC. She graduated
in 1985 from Lee High
School in Columbus, Mis-
sissippi.
While attending Lee
High School, she met her
future husband, Norman
F. King Jr. They were un-
ited in marriage on Sep-
tember 20, 1986. Norman
served in the United
States Air Force and they
began their life together at
Elmendorf AFB in An-
chorage, Alaska.
They started their fami-
ly with a beautiful baby
girl, Amanda Jade, on
June 21, 1989. It wasn’t
too long before they ad-
ded another beautiful
baby girl, Meagan Brit-
tany, on September 17,
1994. Lori met many peo-

friendships as they moved
to other bases over the
years. They were sta-
tioned at Elmendorf AFB,
AK; Eaker AFB, AR;

Anderson AFB, Guam;
Shaw AFB, SC; Minot
AFB, ND. It was here in
Minot, ND that they made
their permanent home
after Norman retired from
service.
Lori worked at Dakota
Elementary School on
Minot AFB as one of the
lunch ladies. She loved
the people she worked
with and the children she
served. She loved wearing
crazy contacts on Hal-
loween to the surprise
and delight of the chil-
dren.
Lori was a delight to be
around and was always
ready with a beautiful
smile, infectious laugh, or
warm hugs that were full
of love. She was a loving
wife, adoring mother, at-

sister, and precious
