Anderson-Brekhus, 65,

Sherwood, formerly of

Kenmare, ND, passed

away on Sunday, June 21,

2020, in a Minot Hospital.

Janice Marie Anderson

was born on October 13,

1954, a daughter of Lloyd

and Sarah (Dahl) Ander-

son in Baudette, MN. She

was raised and educated

in Tioga, ND, where she

graduated from Tioga

High School in 1966.

In 1974, Janice was un-

ited in marriage to Bill

Flannigan. They made

their home in Minot,

where together they raised

their two daughters Laris-

sa and Angie. Janice also

ran a daycare. The couple

divorced in 1989.

In 1991, a son Jesse

Mercer was born. Janice

moved the family to Ken-

mare in 1992, where she

worked as a hair stylist at

the Beauty Nook and later

earned her CNA, where

she was employed at the

Kenmare Baptist Home.

On January 6, 1999, Jan-

ice was united in marriage

to Steven Brekhus. They

made their home in Ken-

mare, where she worked

as a telemarketer at MTI.

They later moved to Sher-

wood. Together they

loved to travel with family

and friends. Janice loved

her children and

grandchildren. She had a

heart of gold, and always

put others needs in front

of her own. She was a

wonderful wife, mother,

grandmother, sister, aunt

and friend and will be

missed by all that knew

her.

Janice is survived by:

Husband of 21 years,

Steven; children: Larissa

(Jesse) McGrath, Angela

(Aaron) Jackson, Jesse

(Ashlee) Mercer;

step-children: Brandy

(Ryan) Schmidt, Randi

Rae Crepps, Jason (Dean-

na Lindemann) Brekhus,

Greg (Heidi) Brekhus; 15

grandchildren; 2

great-grandchildren; si-

blings: Laura McLean,

Carol Fugate, and Irvin

(Joan) Anderson;

sister-in-law Kathy Ander-

son: several aunts, uncles,

nieces, nephews and

cousins also survive.

Janice was preceded in

death by: her parents,

brother, Dave, nephews

Jason Anderson, Jim

McLean, and Jim Fugate,

two grandchildren Aiden

and Harley Brekhus and

step-son Brady Brekhus,

brothers-in-law, Russ

McLean and Jay Fugate.

Visitation: There will be

no reviewal, as cremation

has taken place. However,

friends are invited to sign

a guest register on Satur-

day, June 27, 2020, from 1

until 3 pm at

Thompson-Larson Fun-

eral Home, Kenmare.

Burial: A private family

committal service will

take place at the Trinity

Lutheran Cemetery, rural

Kenmare.
