in her home.
June was born June 17,
1926 at Jamestown, North
Dakota the daughter of
Earl and Margie (Long)
Hazelton. She was raised
and educated at James-
town, graduated from
Jamestown High School
and attended the Univer-
sity of North Dakota at
Grand Forks, ND.
June was united in mar-
riage to Hugh
McCutcheon on July 24,
1947. They made their
home in Minot, where
they raised their five chil-
dren and Hugh was em-
ployed as the City Attor-
ney. He died in 1995.
June was a longtime
member of Vincent Unit-
ed Methodist Church,
Minot. She was an avid
golfer, and participated in
women’s leagues at Souris
Valley Golf Course. She
won the ND State
Women’s Senior Golf
Championship in 1985.
She had also enjoyed gar-
dening.
Her loving family in-
cludes: children: Richard
“Casey” and his wife, Mia;
Nancy; Bruce; Kathie; and
Sandra and her husband,
Tom; 6 grandchildren to
include: Jimmy, Robbie
(Jennifer), Laurie, Cody
(Charlene), Christopher
and Elizabeth; 9
great-grandchildren to in-
clude: Mia, Robbie,
Bethany, Joshua, Eivan,
Chance, Liam, Dylan &
Maverick.
June was preceded in
death by: her parents;
husband of 48 years,
Hugh; and her four si-
blings.
A Private family grave-
side service will be held
in Rosehill Memorial
Park, Minot.
At her request, there
will not be a public view-
ing. However, friends may
sign a memorial register
book on Tuesday, March
31, 2020 from 3:00 p.m.
until 5:00 p.m. to leave a
sympathy card or share a
fond memory in Thomas
Family Funeral Home,
Minot.
