Susan Melton

Susan C (Baker) Melton,

61, of Sawyer, ND died

peacefully at her home in

her sleep on January 23rd.

She was born October

4th, 1958 to Dwayne and

Dora Baker in Minot, ND.

She was raised in Sawyer,

ND where she attended

school and graduated in

1977. She held multiple

jobs growing up such as

helping as a custodian at

the Sawyer school and at

the time of her passing

was employed as support

staff for Kalix for the past

14 years. She was blessed

with two children and

three wonderful grand-

children. Susan loved her

family, working with oth-

ers, her criminal tv dra-

mas, and trying new re-

cipes.

She is survived by her

daughter, Misty (Jay)

Krogstad of Manvel, ND;

son, Dusty Melton of

Sawyer, ND; grandchil-

dren, Keegan Melton, Nik-

ko Krogstad, and Leightyn

Krogstad; sisters, Sharon

Melland, of Sawyer, Carol

(Gary) Newman, of Minot,

and Pat (Chuck) Northrop,

of Marysville, WA; broth-

er, John Baker, of Minot;

and many nieces and

nephews.

She is preceded in

death by her parents,

Dwayne and Dora Baker,

and her brothers, Jim and

Jerry Baker and baby boy

Baker.

A memorial service

will be held on Saturday,

February 1, 2020, at 1

p.m. at Southside Church

of the Nazarene in Minot.

Friends are invited to be-

gin gathering an hour be-

fore the start of the ser-

vice. Burial will take place

at Sawyer Cemetery in

Sawyer, ND, later this

summer. Those wishing
