Reverend Joel Nathana-

el Brown, 54, Minot, died

where he played basket-

South Dakota School of

Mines. He later moved to

Stillwater, OK to continue

his education at Oklaho-

a bachelor’s degree in Hu-

Joel was united in mar-

riage to his beloved wife,

Deidra, on August 25,

1990 in Stillwater, OK.

Shortly after, Joel attend-

moved to North Dakota to

pioneer a church and

make Minot their home,

where they would raise

their five children. In

2008, they became

members of Calvary

Church in Ryder, ND.

There he served as an oc-

casional guest minister

and helped lead Sunday

School for adults and

youth. Throughout his

years, he mentored, en-

couraged, and pastored so

many of us, always point-

ing us to the Lord Jesus

Christ.

Joel’s greatest joys were

spending time with his

children and grandchil-

dren, and drinking

Chick-fil-A lemonade. He

will forever be remem-

positive influence to

everyone around him.
