Kenneth Fjeldahl

Kenneth Fjeldahl, 75,

passed away August 19,

2019, at Sunset Drive

Prospera Community in

Mandan.

Memorial services will

be held Monday, August

26, 2019, at 2:00 pm at

Immanuel Lutheran

Church, rural Roseglen,

ND.

Kenny was born to

Louie and Marian (Akan)

Fjeldahl on July 27, 1944,

in Minot. He didn’t meet

his father until he was 14

months old, due to the

war. He graduated from

Makoti High School. After

graduation, Kenny

worked for various farm-

ers, Oberg Construction,

as well as farming with

his father. He took over

the family farm after his

father’s death. Kenny was

a member of the Army

Reserve for six years, a

fifty-one-year member of

the L.C. Jensen Legion

Post in Ryder, Hidden-

wood Old Settlers, and a

part of the Makoti Thresh-

ers Association.

He married Kathleen

Neumiller on July 24,

1987 and had one

daughter. Kenny contin-

ued farming and raising

cattle until 2014, when he

retired and moved to

Bismarck. He was actively

involved in the

Parkinson’s support group

after being diagnosed in

2016. Kenny also attended

the YMCA’s exercise

group and monthly meet-

ings. He loved to visit,

dance, play cards, listen

to his old time country

music, and spending time

with his family, especially

grandson, Jayden. Kenny

was a loving person with

a great sense of humor

that was enjoyed by

many.

Kenny is survived by:

his wife of 32 years, Kath-

leen; daughter, Tiffany

(Ryan) Schneider; grand-

son, Jayden; cousins, No-

lan Fjeldahl, Barney Brad-

ley, Lyla Akan, Olaf Ed-

wards and Jim Edwards.

He was preceded in

death by: his parents,

Louie and Marian.

In lieu of flowers,

memorials are asked to be

given to Bismarck

Parkinson’s Support

Group or Ryder Commun-ity Club.
